I completely agree with you Lisa. It is so important for teachers to feel confident and well trained in integrating core subjects like math, science and English into their Career and Educational Curriculum. Providing professional development opportunities, equip educators with the tools and strategies they need to effectively highlight the relevance of these subjects in the real world contexts.

Shareen, you have mentioned a fundamental point about the importance of aligning core academic subjects with CTE programs.  When students see the connection between what they learn in academic classes and their CTE course work, it not only enhances their understanding but also increases their engagement and motivation. This alignment also helps students to recognize the applicability of their education in the real world making learning more significant to them.

In studying this model, I have learnt that ‘Alignment with Academic Core Standards,  is a process that  entails the validation of  educational curriculum, teaching strategies and assessments and ensuring that they are in alignment  with established academic standards. With regards to industry validated technical standards, I have learnt that the standards in caption relate to benchmarks and yardsticks established by industry professionals and or organizations that define the skills, knowledge and proficiencies required for specific job or fields. These standards play a major role in ensuring that educational programs are in line with the needs of employers and the preparedness for the job market.

This course provided a lot of insights for me when using AI assistance.  One of the things that I gravitated towards is: When you provide AI practice problems it quickly figures out the patterns, difficulty and sturcture.  This could assist my students in accomplishing mastery when instructing them about concepts relating to Compound Interest and Investment, creating comprehensive monthly Budgets that includes hidden costs (insurance, depreciation, gas, maintenance etc).

The attribute of introspective, integrating skilled questioning in the classroom, using intuition and encouraging students who are doubtful about doing something, corroborate the fact that effective learning goes beyond simply delivering content. It involves creating an environment where students feel valued, supported and motivated to learn.  Incorporating these skills lead to a more energetic, and receptive classroom, nurturing a classroom of inquiry and collaboration
