Activity

Active learning is about creating opportunities for students to participate, think critically and apply their knowledge throughout the lesson.   It also reinforces the importance of providing clear expectations, asking meaningful questions and allowing students time to collaborate and reflect.

Effective active learning begins with intentional planning, rather than adding activities just to keep students busy. Each activity should have a clear purpose am align with the learning objectives.

An effective evaluation system should measure student growth, provide meaningful feedback and align with the learning objectives.  Assessments should give students multiple opportunities to demonstrate what they know and can do.

Not every instructional strategy will work for every class or every student. It is important to reflect on what is working , recognize when students are struggling and be willing to adjust instruction rather than continuing with an ineffective approach.

There is no single instructional method that works for every student or every lesson. Effective teaching means being intentional about choosing strategies that match the learning objectives while keeping students actively engaged.

Effective classroom management begins long before students walk through the door.  Being intentional about routines, expectations and relationship building  creates an environment where students feel safe, respected and ready to learn.

Students need to develop responsibility, accountability and commitment skills, along with academics.  In my classes students will be given opportunities to take ownership of their work, make responsible decisions and understand how their actions affect others.

Learning doesn't end after graduation, it is a lifelong processes.  A growth mindset encourages students to see challenges as opportunities to learn and improve.  By creating a classroom where curiosity, resilience and continual improvement are valued, I can prepare my students to be adaptable and successful even after graduation.

Communication is more than just sharing information, it involves listening, adapting to your audience and creating opportunities for meaningful collaborations.  Innovation requires being open to new ideas and finding creative solutions to challenges.  I plan to encourage my students to communicate clearly, think critically, and embrace new ways of solving problems.

This module showcased the importance of building meaningful connections and working collaboratively to help students succeed. Strong relationships between teaches, students, families and the community create a more supportive environment.  Connecting students with individuals who work in the fields they are interested in will help create the connection between the classroom and life after graduation.
