I learned from this module that when working in admissions we must be aware of changes and updates in policy and [procedures but also be aware of changes to Florida state laws, this is usually done by weekly or monthly meetings where updates are reviewed. I also learned the effectiveness of keeping and accurate an updated resource notebook.

I have learned that we must stay up to date with our schools marketing strategy as to make sure we are aware of current information that is being sent out and to be mindful of Fair Consumer Practices in the state of Florida.

While reading this module, I have learned how important it is to be through during admissions meetings with prospective students in Florida. A person working in admissions must know key pieces of information such as cost of tuition and fees and length of degree program. It is also important to have all admissions documentation in and accurate before a student can be declared "enrolled".

I have learned that in order to work in Admissions in Florida, there are certain legal compliances one must follow. Those who work in Admissions must be aware of what is being marketed to Florida residents looking for higher education opportunities. They must be aware of course requirements and content as to speak on it correctly and responsibly. This also means they must be aware of the terms and definitions that are used in higher education such Title IX.
