In this module I've learned that the first day of class sets the stage for the rest of the class term. Do your best in finding strategies for remembering your students and their names. 

In this module I've learned that having a clear and descriptive syllabus is important when delivering expectations to the class about the course. Being prepared and early will help you early on when meeting your first class. 

In this module I've learned that as an instructor you are a role model as an industry standard for whatever you are teaching to the students, they will take after you in all the habits and traits that they see you do, model for them well.

In this module I've learned that active learning strategies keep students motivated and engaged and encourages more and active participation in the class, resulting in more retention of information and active use of said information.

One thing I've learned in this module is that motivation for students can simply come just from the instructor that is passionate about the job and teaching in and of itself. When an instructor loves their job, they take better care of the students and the students become more motivated.

In this module I've learned the REFOCUS method to keep students engaged and actively participating in the class/course. Have meaningful engagement with students to let them know and believe that you are in their corner rooting for their success.

This module has taught me that providing students with a fun and engaging learning environment does not have to be super crazy, but can often times be little spontaneous moments that engage the students, get them ready to learn and build rapport with their instructor (you). This can often increase student retention as well due to them being more invested in the class.

In this module I've learned that every student comes from a different background and requires a different set of needs according to their background ,whether it be a kid coming right out of high school needing specific direction towards their career path, or someone in their 30's needing motivation to start a new career path after being laid off. You need to be able to understand each student as an individual
