CDL Admissions

I have been in the Commercial Truck Driving industry for over 16 years. I love every aspect of my job as an admission rep for the CDL program. I enjoy enrolling students in a field that I love.

Plan of Action

Much of what I learned in this course has given me the framework to apply the lessons with my prospective students. I came into this position with a marketing background but the interpersonal lessons that I get to use everyday have been the best challenge and lesson. I like how this course was focused on the development of lessons as well as tools and approached that can easily be applied to current practices.

One challenge I have with Admissions is learning to balance the recruitment aspect with the "in house" aspect. We are a small university, and so we have a small staff. It can get a little overwhelming at times when you are trying to juggle everything, but it is becoming more natural to me as time goes on.
